DR. EDNA KAMAU
Principal Consultant Gastroenterologist
Dr. Edna Kamau is the principal consultant gastroenterologist at the clinic. She has over a decade of experience as a consultant gastroenterologist and is now in fulltime private practice. Her outpatient work is at our modern clinic whereas her in-patient work is at the Nairobi Hospital. She worked as a lecturer at the department of clinical medicine and therapeutics, University of Nairobi from 2013-2022. Dr. Edna is a fellow of the East Central and South African College of Physicians (ECSACOP).
She holds a clinical fellowship in gastroenterology from the University of Capetown, South Africa, 2013.
Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine from the University of Nairobi, 2011
Post graduate certificate in Public Health, University of Liverpool, 2009
Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nairobi, 2004

Her clinical interest is in gastro-esophageal reflux disease and colon cancer prevention.
Our practice runs the only gastrointestinal motility laboratory in East and Central Africa. In addition, the clinic runs a robust colon cancer screening program for its clients.
She enjoys cooking and long distance running during her free time.

Dr. Eric Mugambi Nturibi
Consultant physician and endocrinologist
Dr. Eric Mugambi Nturibi is an accomplished Internist, Endocrinologist, and Public Health
Specialist with over 17 years of experience. He serves as a Lecturer at Kenyatta University
Medical School, where he focuses on clinical practice, curriculum development, and
research. Dr. Nturibi leads the Patient Health Portal project, which centers on digital health
solutions for young people living with HIV in Kenya. He has also overseen significant
initiatives, such as the University of Nairobi's CRISS Project. A Fellow of the Royal Society
of Public Health and the East, Central, and Southern Africa College of Physicians, Dr. Nturibi
is a reviewer for PLOS Digital Health. He is currently pursuing a postgraduate thesis on a
behavioral intervention to enhance Helicobacter pylori treatment outcomes, furthering his
contributions to health technology and system improvements in Kenya.

Dr. Mary Nderitu
Consultant physician
Dr. Nderitu is a board-certified consultant physician with a Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine from the University of Nairobi. She currently serves as a part-time associate at Upper Hill Gastroenterology, where she manages both gastroenterological and general medical conditions. Her key responsibilities include patient assessment and management planning, working closely with the principal physician-gastroenterologist. In this role, Dr. Nderitu has honed her expertise in a high-resource setting, adhering to internationally accepted standards. She has also gained significant experience in subspecialty diagnostics, including endoscopies, motility, and pH studies. Dr. Nderitu emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring that consultations and referrals are made in a timely manner for the best patient outcomes.

Eileen Brill Atieno
Theater technologist
Eileen is our dedicated theatre technologist, bringing over two years of experience in supporting healthcare procedures. She collaborates closely with our doctors, assisting in endoscopic procedures, sterilizing surgical equipment, and ensuring patient comfort at every stage. Eileen holds a Certificate in Perioperative Theatre Technology from Nairobi Women’s Hospital College and is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from Nairobi Hospital’s Cecily McDonnell College of Health Sciences. Her expertise includes maintaining biosafety protocols and managing theatre instruments. Known for her compassionate care and meticulous attention to detail, Eileen is a vital part of our team, committed to providing exceptional support to both patients and medical staff.

Lab Technologist
Lucy is our dedicated lab technologist bringing over six years of experience in effectively
running a clinic laboratory. Working under the auspices of the renowned Metropolis star
laboratory she collaborates closely with our doctors, ensuring the laboratory samples are
collected as per protocol, analysed effectively and accurate and timely results delivered to our
clients. Lucy holds a Bachelor of biochemistry degree from Kenyatta University. In addition, she
is certified in phelebotomy from Gertrudes Hospital College of Health Sciences.
